Removable braces
Does your child need dental correction during the transition period when baby teeth are making way for permanent teeth? In some cases, an orthodontist may recommend removable braces.

What are removable braces?
A removable brace, also known as a loose brace, is an orthodontic appliance that can be easily taken in and out. It is made of a combination of plastic and metal wires that secure around the teeth.
Orthodontists typically recommend this type of brace for mild dental corrections, such as moving a single tooth or guiding teeth in the right direction during growth spurts. Removable braces are hence not intended for complex corrections.
Benefits of removable braces
Removable braces are often only required for a limited time during the day and night, depending on the orthodontist’s advice. This makes them ideal for children who are still adjusting to wearing braces.
Since removable braces can be taken out, they are easy to remove while eating or brushing your teeth. Cleaning the brace itself is also simple and quick and best happens
As with any orthodontic treatment, good oral hygiene remains essential, but the ability to remove the brace makes maintenance easier.
