What are clear aligner braces?

Clear aligners are thin, custom-made plastic trays that fit snugly over your teeth. These aligners apply gentle pressure to gradually shift your teeth into the desired position.

Every few weeks, patients receive a new set of aligners, which progressively continues the tooth correction process.

Although aligners are suitable for many types of dental corrections, they are most effective for mild to moderate misalignments.

Aligner treatment

Aligners are available in different brands. At OrthoGroep, we offer both our own OrthoGroep aligners and ClearCorrect® aligners.

Before starting the treatment, our orthodontists create a digital setup of your teeth. A 3D video simulation then shows how your teeth will move step by step toward their final position. This provides a clear preview of the expected results and the duration of the treatment.

Benefits of aligners

Aligners are worn for 20 to 22 hours per day but can be easily removed for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.

Clear aligners offer a subtle and nearly invisible orthodontic solution, making them an attractive option - especially for adults who prefer to avoid fixed braces.

Since aligners are removable, it’s easier to maintain good oral hygiene and keep the aligners clean throughout the treatment.
